WPlus9 Humble And Kind {STAMPtember}

Monday, September 18, 2017

Happy STAMPtember everyone! Every year September is a very exciting month.  Simon Says Stamp releases tons of new stamp and die sets.  Many of them are exclusive collaborations with our favorite stamp companies.  For example, the set I have to share with you, Humble And Kind, was designed by Dawn from WPlus9 just for SSS.  It will available while supplies last so if you love it as much as I do, grab one!

I've paired it with Ink Splats. An unexpected combination, but I think it works so well. I love solid images stamped over black line drawn images.

I have rekindled my love affair with clear Wink Of Stella.  I can't get enough.  It's difficult to see in the photos, but all of the colored ink is coated with it.  It really shimmers!

Such an awesome set.  I'm so grateful I was sent a set to play with.  I look forward to using it a lot more!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Too Cute To Spook

Sunday, September 17, 2017

Happy Sunday.  What a day I've had.  I got all of the laundry, cleaning and shopping out of the way yesterday.  Ryan had some things he wanted to do today so I was home alone most of the day.  I know for some people that sounds boring, but I love time alone.  I crafted, listened to podcast, baked chocolate chip cookies, did a face mask, organized some of my dresser drawers..... It's been lovely and it's only 4:30!  I still have plenty more day left.

I bought this Too Cute To Spook Reverse Confetti set last year, but after Halloween had past.  I just thought it was so adorable.  I've waited until now to use it.  Since Halloween is next month I figured the time is right.

I created a simple background by repeated stamping of the spider web.  I created the focal point scene on the large oval die cut from WP9 Basic Labels. I did just a bit of simple Copic coloring and a whole lotta clear Wink of Stella!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday as well.  Thanks for stopping by.

Mixing Multiple WPlus9 Stamp Sets

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

Hey there! Yesterday was my birthday and Ryan made me the most delicious dinner.....and he cleaned up!  I shouldn't act so surprised, he does help clean up quite often.  It was just a nice treat to not have to do it on my birthday!

I thought I'd share this card with you today.  I created it for the WPlus9 Blog and it was so much fun to make.  I love pulling out tons of sets and mixing them together.  I've also used some of my favorite WP9 colors.  I'm sure you could name them by now but just in case: Shell Pink, Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, and Cranberry Crush.

I love the layers of stamping and die cuts and panels and more die cuts.....  If you'd like to read a little more about my process while making this card check out my original post on the WP9 Blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Watercolored Botanical Bunch

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Hey Ya'll!  {I used to say that all the time when I lived in FL} I thought I'd share this card today because I'm thinking of an old friend of mine who still lives in Florida.  We went to high school together and have been friends for a loooong time.  Hurricane Irma is very close and I'm hoping that she is able to get out of there before Irma arrives.  She may be traveling to VA to stay with another friend of ours. I just hope the path changes and moves out to sea...

If you'd like to check out the original post visit the WPlsu9 Blog.  There you will find all of the details.  It's just a bit of simple watercoloring using distress inks.  This set, Botanical Bunch, is a fun one to use this technique on because the areas are small.  If you're like me and you're not a skilled watercolor artist then just dropping in a bit of color here and there is so doable!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Fingers crossed Irma takes a turn and doesn't cause any more damage.
